Today we move on to my 2020 Top 50 True Freshman Linebackers and their impact on the season.
Out of the Top 50 true freshman on this list, 31 (62%) contributed with stats in some way this past season. Of the 31 players with stats, 7 were from my Top 10. There are 5 players on this list that topped over 25 tackles this year.
PS#11 William Anderson of Alabama came in 1st on this list with 52 tackles also earning FWAA National Frosh POY & SEC All-Frosh honors. PS#8 Noah Sewell of Oregon & PS#40 Stephen Dix came in a close 2nd with 45 tackles each followed by Trenton Simpson (PS#10) of Clemson with 32. The sacks leader this past year was William Anderson with 7.
The 2020 Top 50 True Freshman Linebackers totaled 360 tackles, 22.0 sacks and 25.0 tackles for loss.
