On page 37 of this year’s magazine, we have a couple of pictures of just some of the massive amount of information that is available on Phil Steele Plus. The two pages highlighted are the last 10 years spread records in 39 different categories and the Stats/Coaches section with conference records since 1988. Both are fully updated including the 2024 season.

The first section to show you the full page is the Last 10 years Spread results in 39 different categories. The magazine lists the spread records in 9 different categories but this chart goes much deeper. Here is a sample of the Iowa pages and the difference between the two boxes. I the magazine if you add up Iowa’s record as an Home Favorite and Away Favorite you see that they are 47-35-4 as a favorite overall and 48-39-4 ATS vs the Big Ten. This chart allows you to drill in a little deeper. Check out Iowa’s record as a favorite of 3 or less, it is a super 12-31 and they are 24-12-2 ATS 67% overall as a single digit conference favorite. However, make Iowa a double-digit conference favorite and they are just 8-13-1 including 0-1 ATS as a 20+ conference favorite. It is the same as a dog as Iowa is 12-7-1 ATS as a Single Digit conference dog but 3-7 ATS as a double digit conference dog. This chart allows you to get deeper into the spread numbers for ALL 136 teams.

Another fine feature of Phil Steele Plus that is updated for 2025 is the last 49 YEARS Spread records for each team (dating back to 1976). Also included on that page are the last 37 years stats for each team (magazine has last 6 years) plus the conference records and who the coach was each year since 1988. Here is a picture of the three pages on Kansas and you can follow and see how the different coaches like Glen Mason, Terry Allen, Mark Mangino, Turner Gill, Charlie Weis, David Beaty, Les Miles and Lance Leipold did in each of their years as the head man.
