This year’s magazine has 376 pages and I would estimate over one million words and stats combined in it. There will be a few typos in the magazine, but not that many especially with the total amount of information provided.
One page I noticed that was not correct for some teams was the Plus Minus Power ratings. I do 9 sets of power ratings, and these are the power ratings that will be the closest to the Vegas Power Ratings. In the last few days of the magazine we are shooting pages out of here and normally I have time to look thru these ratings but this year I just told Todd to grab the numbers drop them on the page and send it.
With the addition of two new teams in North Dakota St and Sacramento St there was a flaw in the formula which I noticed after it went to the press. The North Dakota St power rating of 68.75 jumped out at me as they would not be regarded the weakest team in the MW. I then combed thru the power ratings and made all the adjustments and the preseason Plus Minus ratings are now updated.

I am currently updating the Schedule Predicter on Phil Steele Plus with the Plus Minus ratings for every game for this year and on games where Vegas has already posted a number you will notice the numbers are very similar. If you want to get an idea of who is favored or an underdog in any game this year you can go to Phil Steele Plus next week and see all the numbers updated for you.
Remember the magazine will be on sale at ALL Barnes and Nobles by July 4th and I think they could start hitting some of their stores a few days earlier. This year once again they will also be available at Books-A-Million. One of the best things (and there are many) about Barnes and Noble is that each store gives you the choice of TWO covers so you can pick out your favorite team or get the cover you prefer.
