We thought the College strength of wins/pain of losses was so interesting we decided to do one for the NFL and see the results. How it’s devised is if you beat an opponent you get credit for all their wins over their opponents. If you lose you get all their losses.

Strength of Wins

In this first chart below you can see Strength of Wins. Arizona has the #1 spot. Arizona has wins over Tennessee (6-2), Minnesota (3-4), Jacksonville (1-6), LA Rams (7-1), San Francisco (3-4), Cleveland (4-4), Houston (1-7) and San Francisco (3-5) and gives them a total of 31 Foe Wins.

Pain of Losses

This next chart we will go over is the Pain of Losses. Here if you lose to an opponent you get credit for all their losses. At the top you will see a winless Detroit team. They have foe losses vs San Francisco (3-4), Green Bay (7-1) Baltimore (5-2), Chicago (3-5), Minnesota (3-4), Cincinnati (5-3), LA Rams (7-1) and Philadelphia (3-5) for a total of 25 foe losses.

Overall Wins and Losses

In this last chart below you can see the overall wins and losses. Arizona and the Rams are both 8-1. At the bottom you have your 1 winless team Detroit.
