We thought the College strength of wins/pain of losses was so interesting we decided to do one for the NFL and see the results. How it’s devised is if you beat an opponent you get credit for all their wins over their opponents. If you lose you get all their losses.
Strength of Wins
In this first chart below you can see Strength of Wins. Pittsburgh is in the #1 spot this week. The Steelers have wins over NY Giants (3-7), Denver (4-6), Houston (3-7), Philadelphia (3-6-1), Cleveland (7-3), Tennessee (7-3), Baltimore (6-4) Dallas (3-7), Cincinnati (2-7-1) Jacksonville (1-9) and Baltimore (6-5) and those teams have 49 wins. Kansas City is #2 with 47 wins.

Pain of Losses
This next chart we will go over is the Pain of Losses. Here if you lose to an opponent you get credit for all their losses. At the top is the NY Jets with 51 foe losses. The Jets have lost to Buffalo (8-3) Twice, San Francisco (5-6), Indianapolis (6-4), Denver (4-7), Arizona (6-5), Miami (7-4) twice, Kansas City (10-1), New England (5-6) and La Chargers (3-8).

Overall Wins and Losses
In this last chart below you can see the overall wins and losses. Pittsburgh (49-0), Kansas City (47-5) and New Orleans (43-8) are at the top. At the bottom you have NY Jets (0-51).
