Strength of Wins
I find this chart to be very interesting every year. How it’s devised is if you beat an FBS opponent you get credit for all their wins over their FBS opponents.
In this first chart below you can see Strength of Wins. Here you can see Georgia holds the lone #1 spot on this list. Georgia has faced Appalachian St, Notre Dame, Mississippi St and those teams have a total of 9 wins. At the bottom you will see your winless teams Charlotte, Georgia Southern, UMass, Nevada, Bowling Green, UTEP, Florida St and Baylor. While there are only 8 winless teams, my chart grades 24 team as having credit with a win but their foes have not won a single game vs a FBS foe.

Pain of Losses
This next chart we will go over is the Pain of Losses. Here if you lose to an opponent you get credit for all their losses. While there are 24 teams unbeaten, there are an additional 28 teams who have only lost to an unbeaten foe. UMass is at the top of this list with a combined 9 foe losses. Their foe losses include Hawaii, Coastal Carolina, Old Dominion, Temple and Tennessee. Unlike the Strength of Wins chart, the Pain of Losses chart does include a loss to an FCS foe. I count that loss a 4 towards the combined foe loss record due to the weakness of the opponent.

Overall Wins and Losses
In this last chart below you can see the overall wins and losses. As you can see the top teams are Georgia, Penn St, USC and Clemson. The bottom teams are all the winless teams. A few of the most interesting teams here is Northwestern, Air Force and Fresno St (highlighted in green). If you take a closer look, Northwestern has a 2-1 record, their 2 wins were vs winless teams also have 0 losses in this list because their only loss came to a unbeaten Duke team. Both Air Force and Fresno St are 1-2, their only win came vs a FCS foe and the 2 losses were vs unbeaten foes. So Northwestern, Air Force and Fresno St does not get credit for any losses.
