We thought the College strength of wins/pain of losses was so interesting we decided to do one for the NFL and see the results. How it’s devised is if you beat an opponent you get credit for all their wins over their opponents. If you lose you get all their losses.

Strength of Wins

In this first chart below you can see Strength of Wins. New Orleans is in the #1 spot this week. The Saints have wins over Houston (7-4), Seattle (9-2), Dallas (6-5), Tampa Bay twice (4-7), Jacksonville (4-7), Chicago (5-6), Arizona (3-7-1), Atlanta (3-8) and Carolina (5-6) and those teams have a total of 47 wins.

Pain of Losses

This next chart we will go over is the Pain of Losses. Here if you lose to an opponent you get credit for all their losses. As you can see there is now no unbeaten teams. At the top Cincinnati took over with 44 foe losses. The Bengals have lost to Seattle (9-2), San Francisco (10-1), Buffalo (8-3), Pittsburgh twice (6-5), Arizona (3-7-1), Baltimore twice (9-2), Jacksonville (4-7), LA Rams (6-4) and Oakland (6-5).

Overall Wins and Losses

In this last chart below you can see the overall wins and losses. New England is at the top as they are now 10-1. At the bottom you have your only win less team Cincinnati.
