2020 Top 50 True Freshman DB’s and their Impact on the Season.

Today is the final list talking about the Top 50 true freshman defensive backs and their impact on the season.

Out of the Top 50 True Freshman on this list, 30 (60%) contributed with stats in some way this past season. Of the 30 players with stats, 8 were from my Top 10.

Three players on this list had over 30 tackles. PS#19 Malachi Moore of Alabama led the group with 44 tackles and was named 2nd TM SEC, All-SEC Frosh, and 3rd TM SEC (PS). In 2nd was PS#39 Ja’Qurious Conley from North Carolina with 35 tackles. 3rd came PS#7 Jaylon Jones of Texas A&M with 30. PS#49 Malcolm Greene of Clemson was your sack leader at 1.5.

Three true freshman had 2 or more interceptions. PS#2 Elias Ricks of LSU led the group with 4 followed by PS#11 Brian Branch & PS#19 Malachi Moore each with 2.

Overall the Top 50 true freshman DB’s contributed 370 tackles, 40 PBU’s and 14 interceptions this past season.
