Head Coach - Jack Del Rio, 7th year
Del Rio has a career record of 50-46 and was previously the DC in CAR. He was the LBs coach in BAL for 3 seasons and got his coaching start in NO In 1997, after a playing 11 years in the NFL as a LB.
Offensive Coordinator - Dirk Koetter, 3rd year
Koetterwas the Ariz St HC for 6 seasons. He spent 3 seasons as HC at Boise St. He also coached at Oreg, BC and Missou.
QB Coach – Mike Shula, 3rd year
Shula has 21 years of coaching experience incl 17 in the NFL. He spent 4 seasons as the HC at Bama. He was QB coach at MIA and OC in Tampa and was also at CHI.
RB Coach – Kennedy Pola, 5th year
Pola was RB coach in CLE. He was at USC, his alma mater. He has also coached collegiately at San Diego St, Colorado & UCLA.
WR Coach – Todd Monken, 3rd year
Monken, a 19-year coaching veteran, previously served as the WRs coach/passing game co-or at LSU from 2005-‘06. He also coached tt Okl St, LT, EM & ND.
OL Coach – Andy Heck, 6th season
Heck enters his 4th year as OL coach after serving as the asst OL coach his first 2 seasons. He was at UVA for 3 years. Heck played in the NFL for 12 seasons (1989-‘00) as a standout on the OL.
Defensive Coordinator – Mel Tucker, 1st year
He was the Browns’ DBs coach from 2005-’07 and was promoted to DC for the 2008 season. Tucker spent 4 seasons as the DBs coach at Ohio St & he was also the CO-DC there in 2004.
DL Coach – Ted Monachino, 4th year
Monachino enters his 2nd season as the Jaguars DL coach after serving 2 yrs as a asst DL coach. He spent 5 seasons as the DL coach for Arizona St from 2000-‘05.
LB Coach – Mark Duffner, 4th year
Duffner spent 3 seasons in the same capacity in GB. He was at CIN 4 seasons as the LBs coach and DC. Duffner was the HC at Maryland from 1992-’96, where he posted a 20-35 record.
Assistant Secondary Coach – Thom Kaumeyer, 2nd year
Kaumeyer spent 2007 as the DC at Tulane. He spent 5 seasons at SD St where he served as the DC & DB coach.
Special Teams Coach – Russ Purnell, 1st year
Purnell previously served as the STs coach in Indianapolis from 2002-‘08. Prior to joining the Colts, Purnell spent 3 seasons with the Ravens as their STs coordinator. Purnell has spent a total of 23 seasons coaching in the NFL.
